CINTAA & CAWT Committees Express Gratitude For MCGM Support




The Executive Committee of Cine & TV Artistes Association (CINTAA) along with trustees of Cine Artistes’ Welfare Trust (CAWT) visited the MCGM HQ to express their  gratitude to MCGM Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal  for his support and guidance to help acquire the Occupancy Certificate (OC) for the CINTAA Tower, Andheri West.
Present at the meeting were SVP Manoj Joshi,  Treasurer Abhay Bhargav, Hetal Parmar and Tej Sapru of CINTAA along with Johnny Lever,  Ms. Priti Sapru and Secretary J D Tiwari of CAWT.

Veteran playback singer  Sudesh   Bhosale  is all set to be heard by the audience of historical epic war film Panipat. Acclaimed music director duo Ajay-Atul, of Zingaat and Chikni Chameli fame, roped in the singer to be the voice for a key character of the Panipat in ‘Mard Maratha’ song. He avers, “I got a call from Ajay-Atul for an enthusiastic and exciting song,” adding that the song is about victory, “When I reached the studio, Ashutosh Gowariker was already there. Varadraj Swami, the write man!

Dashrath Manjhi, a poor labourer from Gehlaur village near Gaya, Bihar carved a 360 ft x 30 ft x 25 ft path deep through a hillock using only a hammer and a chisel for 22 long years only to shorten the travel between Atri and Wazirganj blocks of Gaya from 55km to 15km. No easy feat, but to chronicle his life into a film is as difficult. For though death brought glory to Manjhi labelling him the Mountain Man with The Bihar government proposing his name for Padmashree and the Films Division producing a documentary The Man Who Moved The Mountain, his life was scattered among the stories told and untold in the village where he spent 22 years striving to carve a path through a stubborn moment. RIFF Pride of Rajasthan Award for actor Prashantt Guptha Actor  Prashantt   Guptha  has been chosen for ‘The  Pride  of Rajasthan Award’ at the  First Rajasthan International Film Festival ( RIFF ) at the Kala Kendra in Jaipur from january 18th. This honour follows  Prashantt   Guptha ’s Best Supporting Actor Award for Rahat Kazmi’s IDENTITY CARD, when he received the award at the hands of  Ayushmann Khurrana and the Honorable Consul General N. Parthasarthy at The San Francisco Global Movie Festival. Before this, the actor also received the Best Debutante Award at the 10th Excellence National Award for his earlier film ISSAQ in which he was noted in the role of a handsome villain.
