The Music Video Project (MVP) by MCGM with Kala Ghoda Arts Festival brings to you a celebration of our diverse, creative and inclusive city of Mumbai, The Music Video Project (MVP) Kick Off, powered by 48 Hour Film Project kicked off with dignitaries on July 29, at 5pm at Rude Lounge, Powai with 12 musicians, 70 film teams.




An initiative of Mumbai --  City of  Film and UNESCO -- Member of The Creative Cities Network, the music curated by Wobble Creative and Content  Channel Partner -- Pocket Films, the event saw a bevy of dignitaries including
 Brinda Miller,  
 Vivek Bhimanwar, IAS, MD -- Maharashtra Film, Stage & Cultural Development Corporation Limited,  Satish Vasan representing CINTAA, Shashi Bala, Preeti  Gopalakrishnan, Yogi Chopra,  RJ Meera, among others.
All in all, an exciting beginning indeed...

Varadraj Swami, the write man!

Dashrath Manjhi, a poor labourer from Gehlaur village near Gaya, Bihar carved a 360 ft x 30 ft x 25 ft path deep through a hillock using only a hammer and a chisel for 22 long years only to shorten the travel between Atri and Wazirganj blocks of Gaya from 55km to 15km. No easy feat, but to chronicle his life into a film is as difficult. For though death brought glory to Manjhi labelling him the Mountain Man with The Bihar government proposing his name for Padmashree and the Films Division producing a documentary The Man Who Moved The Mountain, his life was scattered among the stories told and untold in the village where he spent 22 years striving to carve a path through a stubborn moment. Hence, the real tribute was in August 2015 when writers-researchers Varadraj Swami and Shahzad Ahmad paved the way for Ketan Mehta-directed Manjhi: The Mountain man, a feature film starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui as Manjhi and Radhika Apte as Falguni Devi. Sudesh Bhosale Voices Mard Maratha of Panipat

Veteran playback singer  Sudesh   Bhosale  is all set to be heard by the audience of historical epic war film Panipat. Acclaimed music director duo Ajay-Atul, of Zingaat and Chikni Chameli fame, roped in the singer to be the voice for a key character of the Panipat in ‘Mard Maratha’ song. He avers, “I got a call from Ajay-Atul for an enthusiastic and exciting song,” adding that the song is about victory, “When I reached the studio, Ashutosh Gowariker was already there. He carefully explained the Panipat backdrop for the war of the Marathas.”  Presuming for it to be a routine recording,  Sudesh   Bhosale  insists that it turned out to be a lot of fun and that the song turned out to be exactly the way it was supposed to. “Ajay-Atul have done a fantastic job with the rhythm. All the singers recorded their part and left. It was only after the promo was out, did I realize how nicely it has been made.” The song has been earning rave reviews by the masses on social media.
